A shop built by drummers, for drummers. Rooted in culture, driven by craft.
Nyx Drum Beat didn't start as a business. It started in a garage, with a pile of maple, some hardware, and an obsession with getting the perfect snare sound.
What began as a personal project quickly became something bigger. Other drummers heard the sound, asked questions, wanted one for themselves. Word spread the way it always does in the drumming world — through the music.
Today, Nyx is a small but fiercely dedicated shop. We build custom snare drums for players across every genre — jazz, metal, funk, hip-hop, orchestral. The only thing they all have in common is that they refuse to play something generic.
Neither do we.
Drumming is one of the oldest forms of human expression. We take that seriously. Nyx exists not just to sell drums, but to be part of the community that keeps the art form alive and evolving.
From jazz brushwork to metal blast beats — we respect and celebrate all of it. Our builds reflect the full spectrum of drumming culture.
We don't design in a vacuum. Every build starts with a conversation. What do you play? How do you play it? What do you need to feel at home behind the kit?
We'll never be a factory. Small batches mean every drum gets full attention. That's a promise we made at the start and one we'll never break.
A Nyx snare isn't a collector's piece. It's a working instrument. Take it on the road, beat it hard, tune it up. That's what it's made for.
We never rush a build. Every snare gets the time it deserves — from shell prep to final tuning. Quality is non-negotiable.
Nyx started as a passion project among drummers. That spirit lives in everything we do — we build for players, not shelves.
Mass production has no place here. Every drum we ship is unique, built to the individual player's vision and feel.
Drumming is culture. It's history. It's the pulse underneath everything. We exist to honor that and push it forward.
Have a vision for your perfect snare? We want to hear it. Reach out and let's start the conversation.
